The Nirmala is a docudrama based on the real story of  Nirmala Paudel, an HIV infected lady of 28 living in Dhodeni, Gaidakot Nawalparasi, Nepal . This film made in the banner of Kamad films, presentation of Herbo International and the production of Dr. Ram Prasad Paudel succeeds in nbringing catharsis -- purgation of the onlookers’ feelings and emotions through pity towards victimized Nirmala and fear in audience who feel that similar incident may also happen in their lives too-- in audience. This film is produced by depicting mainly the scenaries of Nirmala’s “birthplace” and “working zone” Gaidakot and Jutpani of Chitwon portrays the bitter reality of Nirmala’s life. It is crafted by counting the questions like  what type of childhood Nirmala went through; how did she become the victim of HIV positive; what were the sufferings that she bore after the disclosure of HIV infection; what happened to her son Ganesh due to her misfortune; what Nirmala ultimately does and so on. Dealing with these aspects of HIV infected Nirmala’s life, this film attempts to make people aware about the possible growth of deadly uncured  disease  HIV AIDS seeming as a great threat even in Nepal in the past few years. May be due to this effort The Nirmala is rewarded as the “public choice” in the second Nepali Film Festival-2065 organized by Film Journalist Association of Nepal in Pokhara.
